ABOUT

CREATIVity + candor

I care about creativity and the greater good, and want to use my skills —inherent, learned or carefully developed— to make a positive impact on someone every day. From entertaining and informing through social media or editorial work to ensuring that my technical writing is clear and thorough, I firmly believe that good writing makes a difference.

I’ve been working professionally in communications since 2009 (I’ve been working personally in communications my entire life; this is my excuse for being bad at math). My biggest strength is a combination of empathy + imagination that enables me to write about (almost) anything from any perspective, from high-level technical best practices to [insert topic here] 101, CEO perspectives or an op-ed from the neighbor down the street, and everything in between. I am delighted by working with a subject matter expert to prepare them for an interview or match their unique voice via ghostwriting, playing around with words and concepts with other creatives, and conducting interviews to create content.

One of my favorite compliments I’ve ever received was, “I appreciate your candor.” I would describe my relationship with the Oxford comma as “needlessly fraught.” In my free time I enjoy talking to animals, laying on the floor and reading things, art stuff, and various other hobbies, interests and/or activities.
